Settled in the secluded southern section of Ruaha National Park sits a classic safari camp focused on conservation. Usangu Expedition Camp offers a wide range of exciting safari experiences ranging from day and night game drives in classic Land Rovers powered by ethanol instead of fossil fuels, to trails camping, walking safaris and boating safaris. The camp also offers a citizen science safari experience with entry to the Douglas Bell Eco Research Station. The camp provides access to the Usangu floodplains and guests can look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs and a variety of plains game. Guests can spend their downtime on a bush picnic or relaxing in the unpretentious camp and having a dinner cooked over open flames.
Each spacious Guest Tent sits on raised wooden decking with a large veranda offering views of the area. The tents feature either a double or 2 twin beds, a mosquito net, a seating area and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and complimentary amenities.
