Nestled on a serene peninsula overlooking the connecting waterway between Lake Manze and Lake Nzerakera lies Roho ya Selous. This classic safari camp offers a plethora of activities ranging from game drives to walking safaris, and boating. The lodge is strategically located in the lush northern section of Nyerere National Park, allowing guests to explore the diverse and magnificent reserve with ease. Guests can also opt for sleepouts under the starry sky and enjoy bush picnics amidst the stunning landscape of swamps, rivers, and lakes. The camp is a haven for wild dogs, as well as lion, leopard, elephant, hippo, buffalo and antelope such as eland and sable – not to mention about 400 bird species.
A triple room is available on request for two adults and one child.
The family tent is perfect for groups of up to 5. The main bedroom has either a double or 2 twin beds with an evening breeze cooling system, fan, reed walls, and slate floors. The main en-suite bathroom has a flush toilet and outdoor shower, while the children's room has an en-suite featuring a shower and basin, and a bunk bed along with a single bed.
Roho ya Selous’ eight tents are tucked away into the trees and set far apart to maximise privacy. They are stylish and spacious, measuring an impressive 60m² inside. Thoughtful details include an evening breeze cooling system over the bed to allow you to sleep peacefully even during the hotter months, and an en-suite bathroom complete with indoor and outdoor shower. Twin and triple configurations are also available on request.
