Hoanib Valley Camp is found in one of the most remote and awe-inspiring environments in Namibia. The camp is entirely solar-powered and offers 6 tents that blend into the environment, each with its own private veranda that allows guests to admire the stark beauty of the surroundings. The decks at the camp are made of wood, bamboo and a 70% recycled-material composite, while the furniture was created by local Rundu carpenters and Himba carvers, and the decorative baskets were woven by the people of the Omba Project in Windhoek with materials sourced locally. Activities include game drives to track endangered black rhino and desert-adapted elephants, guided nature walks to discover smaller desert flora and fauna, and learning about the local Herero people.
Hoanib Valley Camp has 5 twin tent units that feature large beds, en-suite bathrooms, and elegant, natural furnishings. These stand-alone tents are set on spacious raised decks and have their own private verandas with panoramic views. Inside are amenities like a desk and battery-charging facilities.
The family tent unit features elegant, natural furnishings, and consists of 2 adjoining tents, ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. These stand-alone tents are set on spacious raised decks with panoramic views and come with an en-suite bathroom, a desk, a sitting area, and battery-charging facilities.
