Natural Selection’s Skybeds offer a one-of-a-kind safari experience in an exclusive camp that accommodates only 6 guests. Set in the Khwai concession of the Okavango Delta, the 5-m high wooden platforms comprise beds with mosquito nets, dining areas, and serene privacy to enjoy the open sky. The Skybeds overlook a waterhole with plenty of animal traffic and guests can see wildlife like wild dogs, lions, elephants and hyenas. While staying here, guests directly support initiatives within the Khwai Private Reserve, revolving around village outreaches, anti-poaching, and sustainable grass harvesting. Skybeds can only be booked in combination with a stay at Hyena Pan, Tuludi, Sable Alley and Little Sable in Khwai Private Reserve.
The Skybed Platform is raised 2 stories off the ground, above the flood plains. There are only 3 al fresco platforms, each allowing breathtaking starry night sky views. Rooms are equipped with 2 three-quarter beds or a super king-sized bed, covered by mosquito netting, but no electricity. Below, there’s a bathroom with a shower.
