Best time to go to
The dry winter season from May to September is the best time for wildlife viewing at Kruger’s private reserves. During this season there are still lots of sunny days and mild temperatures to enjoy. The bush is less dense and animals congregate around waterholes, making them easier to spot. The summer period holds the highest malaria risk, and from October to April, the summer rains bring forth flowing rivers and lush landscapes swarming with birdlife. Plenty of newborn animals arrive, plus prey and predator interaction can also be observed.
